Enjoy beautiful forested cross country ski trails just off Parking Lot 4 at Fernie Alpine Resort.

14km of groomed and track-set cross country trails for beginner, intermediate and advanced ability for both classic and skate skiers. Offering a short and long loop, both feature flats and hills amoungst big cedar and aspen trees in a quiet landscape. Great for a work out or simply to enjoy the tranquility of winter wonderland!

Trailhead Access - Park at the back hill side (vs valley side) area in Lot 4 at Fernie Alpine Resort. The initial part of the XC trail is an uphill to access the main loops, fish bone up or walk up with your skis, uphill takes about 10 minutes. If you walk up stay to the edge of the groomed track so you don't create boot holes in the track. Keep an eye out for XC skiers coming down off the trails. These trails are dog friendly but please keep you dogs off the classic track set trail and pick up any dog doodoo.  Fat bikers and snowshoes may also be on the trail.
