In operation since the early 1960s, the Fernie Memorial Arena is one of Fernie's core recreational facilities servicing residents and visitors alike.
Lace-up and hit the ice for an afternoon of skating or shinny hockey with availability from August to May! Great exercise and great fun for the whole family.
Ice time at the memorial is available by registration on the City of Fernie Recreation page. It takes only a minute to sign up, and you will have access to reserve and pay for your time on the rink right away.
Family Skate: All ages welcome. Kids under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Parent & Tot: For parents with children under the age of 5.
Family Skate & Shoot: Bring a stick and take shots on net. No game play or full equipment. All ages are welcome*, however children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
*Please note: Kids must be able to skate unassisted in order to participate in thie activity.
Please note: Public skating is not scheduled during Fernie Ghostrider home games and other scheduled special events.
