In operation since the early 1960s, the Fernie Memorial Arena is one of Fernie's core recreational facilities servicing residents and visitors alike.
Lace-up and hit the ice for an afternoon of skating, or shinny hockey this winter! Great exercise and great fun for the whole family.
For winter 2020, ice time at the memorial is on available by registration on the City of Fernie ActiveNet page. It takes only a minute to sign up, and you will have access to reserve and pay for your time on the rink right away.
Bookable time slots are divded by catagories:
Family Skate: All ages welcome. Kids under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Parent & Tot: For parents with children under the age of 5.
Family Skate & Shoot: Bring a stick and take shots on net. No game play or full equipment. All ages are welcome*, however children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
*Please note: Kids must be able to skate unassisted in order to participate in thie activity.
Please note: Public skating is not scheduled during Fernie Ghostrider home games and other scheduled special events.
