In operation since the early 1960s, the Fernie Memorial Arena is one of the core recreation facilities within our community, servicing residents and visitors alike.
Public skating sessions are one of the main attractions at Fernie Memorial Arena. Skating provides great exercise and an opportunity to get out of the house - plus, it's not like exercising at the gym... skating is fun! Lace-em up and come join the others. Get on the ice and get ready for a great experience.
Inside you will find a 180 X 80 ice sheet, 6 dressing rooms, meeting room, concession area with vending machines, the Fernie Memorial Arena has it all for a small community.
Try skating, shinny hockey, watch a Ghostrider Hockey game or get involved with one of the many organizations using the arena!
Please note: Public skating is not scheduled during Fernie Ghostrider home games and other scheduled special events.
The arena is open for skating & hockey from September to April.
