$180. Registration Required. PURCHASE ONLINE
Ages 16+
10 am - 3pm Saturday & Sunday
Multicolour Block-printing is a great way to add richness and colour to an already satisfying craft. During this two-day workshop, attendees will spend one day exploring multi-block prints using a variety of transfer, carving, and aligning techniques to get satisfying results to expand a block print from single colour. On Sunday the class will explore reduction printing; a fascinating technique that involves pulling multiple colours from the same block to get a rich, deep image. Attendees will leave with a wildly expanded knowledge of relief printmaking process and technique, as well as several finished prints to hang, show, or share.
An Intermediate-level workshop for those with a basic understanding of relief printing. Multi-colour block printing can be challenging so time will not allow for basic carving and printing techniques to be explained.
All materials included. Optional: bring a couple ideas or resource photos for prints you’d like to make. If you have your own lino carving tools please bring them.
