GETTING TO FERNIE, BC

Completely surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, Fernie is situated in the southeast corner of British Columbia along Highway 3 close to border with Alberta and Montana, US.  Fernie is an easy drive from the prairies, and only

  • a 3.5 hour drive from Calgary, AB
  • a 2.5 hour drive from Lethbridge, AB
  • a 2.25 hour drive from Whitefish & Kalispell, Montana.

On the BC side, Fernie is a 1 hour drive from Cranbrook, BC and 3.5 hours from Golden, BC or Nelson, BC.  Closest airports are Cranbrook and Calgary with daily flights from various Canadian cities and car rentals.  Kalispell Airport in Montana is just a 2 hour drive away. Be sure to plan and book your trip ahead.
