Our annual winter carnival is a multi-day festival of fun-filled family-friendly events, activities, and entertainment.
Each year, fur-clad hopefuls compete in a test of strength, skill and tenacity to be crowned Extreme Griz. Feats of ability are held around Fernie - follow the challengers on their tour of Fernie and cheer them on in their noble quest!
PLUS: 1 pm: Junior Griz Training at Station Square at 1 pm!

The annual Griz Days Festival is traditionally Fernie's biggest event, encompassing the entire community from Fernie Alpine Resort to the Provincial Park to the Highway and Historic Downtown Fernie. It is a full, wild weekend of activities and live entertainment for all ages.

Be sure to purchase your Griz Pin as soon as you arrive in Fernie - or risk being thrown in Griz Jail and have to pay a fine to be released! Griz Pins go on sale on February 5th and are available at many retailers around Fernie. Each pin has a unique number; on March 6th there will be a draw and the winner will receive $1000!
