JENNIFER VAN POPTA is an Edmonton born and raised artist who has always seen things a little differently. Drawing since she could hold a pencil, Jennifer has explored many mediums and loves trying out new materials and techniques. Now an adult, Jennifer has found a way to combine her love of animals and colours into beautiful acrylic paintings full of movement and intensity.
Jennifer’s recent work has evolved to combine greyscale animal portraits with colourful abstract backgrounds. She creates close up portraits with detailed eyes to draw the viewer in and make them wonder what is happening outside the canvas.
