NEW for 2025 - the Headwall Hustle 15km Running Race
Stag Leap Running is under new management and will feature a brand new event on the Fernie race calendar - the Headwall Hustle. This 15km race is sure to challenge the best runners, taking in the incredible alpine trails at Fernie Alpine Resort.
**BEFORE COMPLETING REGISTRATION, ALL RACERS MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE RCR EVENT WAIVER**
Once you have completed your waiver, you need to ensure you have your RCR Event Release Agreement ID on hand to enter during the checkout process. Please ensure your FIRST + LAST name used on your waiver, matches your ultrasignup account.
The Headwall Hustle is a punchy 15km race segment that is part of it's parent race, the Elk Valley Ultra*. This route, crafted by founder Abi Moore, offers a challenging and scenic trail through Fernie Alpine Resort. Participants will climb through Cedar Bowl up to the Headwall, then traverse into Timber Bowl for a steep descent to the finish line.
*The Elk Valley Ultra is expected to return to Fernie in a future year.

Limit: 150 racers.
Entry Fee: Adult $75 (June 1-30) // $85 (July 1-23)
Youth $55 (<19).
**Please note: If you wish to compete in the 15km as a youth (<19), you and a parent/guardian must reach out to the Race Director in advance of registering.**
Categories: Male, Female and Non-Binary, <40 (Open), 40-59 and 60+, with prizing 1st-3rd in each.
