Skiers and snowboarders will slide with style in the Rail Park as they compete against their peers for top spot.
Slide into the New Year in style and lay down some sweet tricks. The rail park is OPEN at Fernie Alpine Resort and what better way to kick it off than with the January Jam. Cash prizes up for grabs for each category (groms and open categories for both skiing and snowboarding).
Register on the day. Entry Fee is $10 CASH which will go towards the category winners cash prize.
All competitors will receive 20% discount on the ticket for the day of the event. Helmets are MANDATORY for all competitors and all competitors are required to complete event waivers***
The January Jam is in a Jam Format*.
*NOTE: This is different from a “run format” where competitors have a set number of times that they can hit the rail. Jam Style means that instead of a set number of runs, competitors will have a set amount of time (for example 60min) to hit the rails. Therefore, competitors can hit the rails as much or as little as they want. Each run is scored but only their best run is counted.
9:30am-10:30am: Registration & Check-in in the Daylodge
10:45am: Mandatory Competitors Meeting @ Top of Rail Park.
11:00am: Competition Start @ Rail Park; Groms Jam Session (All u16 competitiors, skiers & snowboarders)
12:00pm: Open jam session (All Competitiors 16+, skiers & snowboarders)
1:30pm: Awards Ceremony @ Griz Daylodge. Prizes will be awarded to the top competitors from each category.
Heat times will be determined that morning based on the total number of participants in each category - Jam Format with set heat times for categories.
Grom - Ski U16, Snowboard U16
Open - Ski 16+, Snowboard 16+
