Classical music trio La Cafamore returns to Fernie to perform alongside the Fernie grand piano.

Tickets at the door: Adults $20

About La Cafamore:

La Cafamore has been performing in the Kootenays since 2008, bringing classical music to the area, including new music. We also strive to collaborate with local artists and Canadian composers.

Originally birthed as a string quartet made up of members of Symphony of the Kootenays, La Cafamore became a fluid ensemble of varying instrumentations. This year, they return as a quintet featuring founding members Carolyn Cameron and Alexis More, along with three other talented women.

Join us as La Cafamore celebrated 10 years of performing in the Kootenays in 2020.

Group manager Carolyn Cameron was raised in Saskatoon where she studied violin and piano. She has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, The Regina Symphony Orchestra and the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Carolyn lives in Rossland.

Nina Horvath is an active musician in the Vancouver scene whether it is on stage or behind the scenes. Her greatest passion is in the collaboration with other artists, which she has been fortunate to do over three continents as a singer and pianist. When she is not playing with La Cafamore, she is the Operations Coordinator for the Vancouver Bach Choir, sings with the Vancouver Cantata Singers and works with singers in the college program at the Vancouver Academy of Music, while continuing to pursue her own freelance and teaching career.

With Maria Wang on Cello and piano trios by Anrensky and Piazzolla.
