Drive through the ancient old growth cedar forest to the apex of the Cedar Valley and Island Lake Lodge.
Island Lake Lodge accommodation, dining, and spa will be available June 15th - September 16th, 2024 with blackout dates. The lodge is typically open to the public Friday - Tuesday, except on event weeeknds. See calendar for details.
Hiking is available daily. On Wednesdays & Thursdays when the lodge is closed, access will be from the lower parking lot and no lodge facilities will be available.

Enjoy B&B stays, day hiking and nature walks, casual lunches and cocktails on the patio for lunch or gourmet dining in the evening restaurant while the sun sets over the Three Bears. The property is a beautiful wilderness valley with spectacular views and the ultimate in R n' R. Fernie is the farthest east that the beautiful Old Growth Cedar trees grow.
NB: If you plan to leave a vehicle in the Island Lake Parking Lot while hiking Heiko's trail, please register with the lodge in advance. The access road will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays so vehicles must be left in the lower parking lot for pick up on those days.
Overnight camping is not permitted on Island Lake property.
