BREWERS NOTES:
The newest addition to the Barrel Aged series is a decadent Stout, aged for 7 months in French Oak Red Wine barrels.
Brewed with six specialty malts including Pale Chocolate, Blackprinz and Maris Otter, a slight addition of Fuggle hop and East Kent Goldings brings a mild floral aroma, balancing this strong barrel brew.
With an ABV of 9.2%, you can expect a dark and robust brew, carrying notes of chocolate, toffee, and dried fruit, with oak character peeking through hints of red wine.
Just in time for the holidays, Barrel Aged Stout will be available in limited quantities in Fernie Brewing Co.’s Tasting Room from today and in BC Private Stores and across Alberta.
