Somewhere between the worlds of old-time jazz and country music lies a very special place, nestled in small-town Northern Alberta, next to the mighty Peace River. Known to locals as Misery Mountain, this iconic landmark has a reputation for mixing the waters when it comes to tradition, making it a perfect meeting grounds for music legends like Django and Hank, Pokey and Grisman.

Back by popular demand are these two amazing bands who bring their toe tappin, thigh slappin old timey flare!

FIRST UP is Redgirl - a light shade of bluegrass with some visible folk roots showing. Fronted by the clear and fearless vocals of Anie Radish: Redgirl’s music is built around her pure and unfettered voice, clawhammer banjo, guitar and occasionally, a sassy ukulele.

MAIN STAGE is The Misery Mountain Boys - You might hear the tunes of the Misery Mountain Boys drifting from behind a rotating bookcase of a 1930’s speakeasy. Harkening back to a simpler time, the MMB’s create a collaborative soundscape infused with tongue in cheek wit, playfulness, and nostalgia. With a mix of catchy originals and contemporary songs reimagined in driving swing, the band’s performance delivers as both classic and fresh, offering a generous variety of sweaty jazz numbers, velvety love songs, and swingin' jump-blues.

Located in the beautiful historic Knox building on 2nd Avenue, the former Knox United Church.
