A pottery workshop with Becky Stewart, celebrating the summer gallery show: Ice Cream.
Learn some of the secrets of slip casting in this exciting workshop. Becky will introduce you to the process of slip casting & basics of mould making. Each participant will slip cast 1 piece that will be glazed and fired.
Skill Level: Beginner
Cost: $45 and includes materials and firing & finishing costs.
About the Instructor:
Becky is a student at Glasgow school of the arts in Scotland. She has years of experience moulding, casting and working with clay and is excited to share her knowledge with you. Becky's Sculptures are on display in the gallery as part of the Ice Cream Summer group show.

Ice Cream emphasizes fun in the arts by bringing a cheerful, light subject matter to the gallery. Ice Cream appeals to all ages which suits the Arts Station’s vast demographic. As a central theme, it lends itself to a multitude of interpretations including but not limited to: pastel colours, cows, freezing, sweetness, real vs. artificial etc.
Ice Cream fosters community identity by presenting an unexpected topic through the unique lens of Fernie artists. The show will transform the foyer gallery into a visual treat, with countless flavours & varieties.
