An introductory course to sculpting clay, one of the most ancient forms of art dating all the way back to 25000 BC.
$125, includes clay, firing and finishing.
Instructor Becky is a student at Glasgow school of the arts in Scotland. She has years of experience moulding, casting and working with clay. In this workshop, participants will explore the ancient art of coil building and will create a sculptural vase that can be functional or decorative.
A full day workshop with a one hour break for lunch. No previous experience with clay is necessary.
The piece will need to dry for several weeks before firing and will go through the kiln twice for two separate firings. Allow a 6-8 week turnaround for before receiving your piece back.
Clay and all materials will be provided, just bring food and water or money to purchase food at one of the restaurants downtown.
