You don't have to be a Powder Hound to experience the winter wonderland at Island Lake Lodge.

Island Lake Catskiing is now closed for the winter season. Re-opening June 2020 for the summer season.

Explore the wonders of mystical Island Lake Lodge under snow cover. Arrive at a winter wonderland which includes four backcountry snow-covered peaks, miles of groomed trails, a cozy restaurant and full-service spa. Trails lead out from the lodge and are groomed regularly.

The trails from the Island Lake Parking Lot, (located approx 2km NW of Mt Fernie Provincial Park) meander through spectacular Old Growth Cedar Forest alongside Lizard Creek. The first section of trail gently undulates and is suitable for most abilities. At the midpoint, the trail joins the main cat-track and becomes steeper. Experienced cross-country skiers will enjoy the challenging ski all the way to Island Lake Lodge. Lunch and Spa services are available by reservation only on select days - please call ahead if you wish to dine or visit the Spa.
