NEW for 2021! E-Bike/Enduro Uphill Route

Why take the chairlift if you’ve got an e-mountain bike? New this summer, the resort now allows uphill bike traffic on a specified uphill route at the FAR Bike Park. You can access all the downhill trails normally only accessible via the Elk Chair. Class 1 pedal-assisted e-bikes and non-eBikes are welcome!

An E-Bike/Enduro ticket is required for trail use which also includes 3 chair lift rights. Uphill access is only during chair lift open hours. Full details here.

Fernie Alpine Resort Bike Trails

Start out with a confidence-building ride on Honey Bee before tearing through Top Gun's famous berms and moving on to the Timber Chair (closed 2020 season) to tackle the challenges of Rumplestiltskin and Megasaurus. The Elk chair operates daily and accesses 30 downhill biking trails with a variety of difficulty ranging from fun flowy greens to the double diamond Aggravated Assault. Some trails are shared walking/biking trails - pedestrians have right of way on all trails.

The base-area Manchuria & Silk XC trails are open and accessible at all times during summer operations.

"Riding the trails on Fernie Alpine Resort are like no others we have ridden in any other bike park. It is so much fun to ride lift access trails that are so flowy, buff and loamy. It seems almost unreal that the trails can stay in such good condition. I would say it would be easy to enjoy a summer riding in Fernie with such a great variety of trails that keep expanding." Kyle Norbraten from The Coastal Crew and SCOTT Team Progressive Freerider.

A full range of standard and elite gear and bikes are available for rent and sale at Fernie Alpine Resort.

The Bike Park also hosts the SCOTT Thursday Night Race Series and bike clinics for kids, women, and adults.
