With the largest civic observance in the world, Earth Day attracts over 1 billion people yearly who are dedicated to furthering climate action.
The Fernie Heritage Library are some of those people, and invite you to join in and show your love for the town you love to visit!
For two years, FHL fulfilled their goal to build an eyesore of trash in the parking lot! It's time to do it all again for 2023 with support from Elk Valley Wildsight, Fernie Home Hardware Teck and Ptti's Party Tent Rentals.
1. Collect gloves and bags from the Library between April 18th - 22nd if needed.
2. Collect trash around our community.
3. Bring the bag of trash you collected to the Library parking lot between 11am - 4pm on Saturday April 22nd.
4. In exchange for your help you will be gifted an activity bag with seedlings thanks to Elk Valely Wildsight.
**Please only drop trash bags collected from the community clean-up, no household/yard waste or yard waste. No trash will be collected past 4pm on Saturday, April 22nd.
