Public recreation site is a medium, partially treed site along the lakeshore at the south east end of Tie Lake.
Popular for water related summer activities. Motor boats allowed. Boat launch available. Camping fees apply. Rustic camping and RV sites. Outhouses only. No other facilities.
Drive south/west along Highway 3 from Fernie towards Cranbrook. Jaffray is a small town along the highway 30 minutes from Fernie. Take the Tie Lake Road turn off to the north, turn right when coming from Fernie direction. The road forks at approximately 2 km. Take the right fork and the recreation site is on the left within 400 m from the juntion.
