Exploring our relationship with electricity, from generation to transmission to light source.
Open: 12 - 4pm Daily, Friday, April 9th - Sunday, April 11th.
The paintings focus on the utilitarian objects of power we’ve trained ourselves to look past, despite their dominant presence in our lives. Our electrical synapses serve as junctions - they allow our neurons to communicate. If electrical junctions within us, why not electrical junctions around us? Can a canvas be the same kind of bi-directional meeting spot between electrical objects? Painter Beth Gallup follows her curiousity to look at these everyday objects and their applications.
