FAQ's
Q. How many people do you expect?
A. Approx 100 riders spaced over 2 days.
Q. How long do I have to complete the route?
A. Again, there is a lot of flexibility on this. You can do it in one go or you can do it over the two days. We already had a father and son complete it last week as they are not available for the September long weekend.
Q. Do I have to mountain bike? Can I do it by road bike?
A. No, we have had inquiries about hiking sections as well as....(insert G-A-S-P)...running the distance! Road bikers would start in Elkford and take the highway to Fernie. We just want to caution you that it is a busy road and you should take extra care when vehicles are present.
Q. Do I have to be a member of the FMBC?
A. Yes, the event insurance requires you to be a member of the FMBC. We have Pandemic pricing this year ($5 membership).
Q. I own a business and want to contribute - how do I do that?
A. Contact us - directors@fmbc.ca
Q. Do you need volunteers?
A. Yes! Sign up here:https://volunteersignup.org/events/summary/313755
Q. Do I get a tax receipt for my registration?
A. Yes, you do! So long as you give us your correct info the East Kootenay Foundation for Health will be sending you a tax receipt after the event.
Q. When do I get my t-shirt?
A. T-shirts will be distributed the following week.
