Catch a home game this winter with the Fernie Ghostriders- Fernie's own KIJHL Junior Hockey Team.
The Riders are back and now at full capacity. December 11th is the Annual Teddy Bear Toss - bring teddy bears, mittens and toques to toss on the ice after the first goal. All items are donated to the Salvation Army after the game.
Puck drop at 7.30pm, entry is $11/adults, $6 students/seniors for regular games.
Always popular, local games are a fun night out for the whole family with plenty of great hockey action, beverage gardens, concessions, merchandise booth and special events including the 50/50 raffle, and teddy bear toss, shootout challenge, and diamond ring prize draw games.

About the Ghostriders:
The Fernie Ghostriders are a Junior B Hockey Team, playing in the Eddie Mountain Division of the Kootenay International Junior Ice Hockey League. Head Coach is Jeff Wagner. The Ghostrider name comes from the icon shadow that forms at sunset on Mt Hosmer in Fernie, that is clearest at the start of the hockey season (and during the summer months).
The Ghostriders won the division during the 2011/2012 season, and the KIJHL in the 2007/2008 season, going on to take the bronze medal at the Cyclone Taylor Cup.
The Ghostriders hosted the Cyclone Taylor Cup (KIJHL, PIJHL & VIJHL Provincial Championships) for the 2010/2011 season, where they took the silver medal.
