About the Ghostriders:
The Fernie Ghostriders are a Junior A Hockey Team, playing in the Eddie Mountain Division of the Kootenay International Junior Ice Hockey League. Head Coach is Jeff Wagner. The Ghostrider name comes from the icon shadow that forms at sunset on Mt Hosmer in Fernie, that is clearest at the start of the hockey season (and during the summer months).
The Ghostriders hosted the Cyclone Taylor Cup (KIJHL, PIJHL & VIJHL Provincial Championships) for the 2010/2011 season, where they took the silver medal. They went on to win the division the following year in the 2011/2012 season.
The Ghostriders won the KIJHL in the 2007/2008 season, going on to take the bronze medal at the Cyclone Taylor Cup.
