Alysha Clarke has lived in and around Fernie for the last 25 years. Her first painting classes were as a 10-year-old at the Fernie Arts Station participating in anything she could find. Painting remained a lifelong hobby as she focused on growing her family and her massage therapy clinic. A recent switch from acrylic painting to alcohol ink has inspired her creativity and she is now presenting her work to the public for the first time.
Alysha currently resides in Baynes lake with her husband and three girls.
The theme for this show is spring, as it is the artist’s favourite time of year. Alysha’s exhibition showcases her work with alcohol ink, and is inspired by the flowers, weeds, bees, townie bikes, old trucks, and rainy days of spring.
