With exhibit artist, Michael Hepher. 

Learn the art and pleasure of painting 'en plein air.'

The exhibit features 30 new works by Fernie artist Michael Hepher which explore the scenic backroads of British Columbia as seen by the artist and his family during a 2-month summer road trip in 2017 throughout each of the distinct regions of BC in their 1971 Volkswagen van.

COST: $100, includes instruction, one canvas board, paintbrush and basic paints.

WORKSHOP INFO:

  • Please bring a chair, easel, umbrella and any other paints and brushes you would like to use.
  • Meet at the Fernie Museum and start by learning how to identify locations.
  • The workshop will cover basic set-up, composition and painting techniques.
  • Lunch not included. Please bring lunch, or return to downtown Fernie for lunch. A break will be provided.
