Join us at The Arts Station and Historic Downtown this holiday season for a month-long Sugar Plum Festival with events for all to enjoy!
Saturday, December 9th: Tutus and Tails.
- A Sugarplum extravaganza for little ones - nutcracker-themed craft, theatre class and family performance!
Presented by the Arts Station and Heart and Soul Dance and Theatre Collective
11am-2pm, with Gala performance at 1:30pm
Ages 4-10 - Children must be at least 4 years old by December 31, 2017
$68.00 plus GST, includes 4 tickets to the Gala performance for family and friends

The event includes:
~ A reading of ETF Hoffman’s original Nutcracker by none other than the Nutcracker himself
~ An arts-and-crafts session with the Sugar Plum Fairy and her entourage, including take-home pieces and photo booth
~ A ballet class with Sugar Plum, Clara, and the Fairies in a beautiful professional dance costume that your little performer gets to keep and enjoy
~ A special performance for family and friends in full costume and regalia at 1:30pm! Cost includes 4 family tickets for family and friends to use, additional tickets to the performance are available for $10 at the door, subject to availability.
~ And a beautiful keepsake program with your child's name.

Children can be dropped off between 10:30-11:00. Parents can sign waivers at this time. The arts, crafts, and dance class are for registered children only. Parents and siblings are welcome to return at 1:30 to watch the Gala Performance.
The Sugar Plum Festival is a magical time of year to spend with family, friends and the community, craft, sing, and be merry!

DECEMBER 2017:
Saturday 2nd: Sugarcoated - a Nutcracker-themed musical theatre show. Matinee and evening performances.
Saturday 9th: Tutus and Tails Children's Extravaganza
Saturday 16th: A Fernie Christmas Story theatre show
Sunday 17th: Screening of the ROH Nutcracker Ballet at the Vogue Theatre
Friday 22nd: Kids Christmas Craft workshop
Friday 22nd: Caroling by Candlelight, with hot chocolate
TBC: For the duration of the holiday season, weather permitting, there will be an outdoor ice skating rink in the Fernie Courthouse grounds. Wrap up warm and come for a skate.
