Get your Snow to Ice Challenge on again this year! The Fernie Nordic Society is once again hosting the Snow to Ice (Cream) Challenge with the reward at the end of the trails of beer and ice cream!

This year if you complete the four trail challenges within the 72 hours of Griz Days, and have photographic evidence you found all 4 Snow to Ice signs, you can reap your reward of a free glass of Fernie Brewing beer and Happy Cow ice cream at the Fernie Hotel pub.

The Fernie Nordic Society trails will be free for non-members between 7 p.m. Thursday February 28 to Sunday March 3 at 7 p.m. If you don't have your own skis, snowshoes, or fatbie, you get 20% off at Gearhub Adventure Rentals when you mention the Snow to Ice(Cream) Challenge.

Griz NO Moon Ski and Social - 7pm, Thursday February 28th

Starting with the kick-off event, The Griz NO Moon Ski and Social, at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, prove you’ve completed all four legs of the challenge by taking a time-stamped selfie at each of the four “Snow to Ice” signs! The social will be a chance to get your first photo and enjoy a barbeque, hosted by the Fernie Nordic Society and Save On More Fernie.

Fernie Hotel & Pub, 2-7pm Sunday March 3rd

Visit the Fernie Hotel & Pub between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday March 3rd where showing your photo evidence will win you an ice cream treat and a glass of FBC beer(+19). More prizes are up for grabs by sharing on Facebook, using the social media hashtags #loveFernie #grizdays #fernienordic #ferniehotelandpub. Also, there are more chances for prizes for multi-sport (while following the trail rules) and wearing your best Canadian Tuxedo (denim on denim).
